Derly Morley, MSW, LGSW

Hello, my name is Derly. I’m a bilingual therapist located in the Twin Cities, offering psychotherapy in both Spanish and English. My native language is Spanish, and I’m originally from Mexico. Like many who have emigrated in search of better opportunities, I understand from personal experience what it means to adapt to a new culture, face unexpected challenges, and hold on to the hope of creating a joyful life. I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating difficult times—whether it’s depression, anxiety, stress, isolation, trauma, issues with interpersonal relationships, or other challenges. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful space where you feel seen, understood, and supported. At the same time, I recognize that healing involves more than just being heard—it requires intentional work, emotional insight, and collaborative effort to
create meaningful and lasting change.

My clinical approach is person-centered and culturally responsive. I believe that healing happens when people are met with compassion and treated as whole individuals, not just as a set of symptoms. In practice, that means integrating a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to your needs and goals.

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and a subspecialization in Migration from Loyola University Chicago. I’ve had the privilege of working in public, private, and nonprofit sectors—accompanying people through a wide range of life circumstances. Being both a therapist and an immigrant gives me important perspective. I know how vital it
is to be able to express yourself in your own language and feel understood within your cultural context. I support individuals experiencing the emotional complexities of migration or acculturation. And while such experiences have shaped me, I welcome people from all walks of life—because the need to heal is universal, and my commitment is to help empower you on your own journey, wherever you’re coming from.

You are not alone; I’m here to guide and accompany you on your journey towards healing and happiness.
